As GM said, you're building a sort of Onken Lite, or Ultraflex EZ. If it works, it works.

I had to look up Onken... I see what Greg was saying now. yep I like the Onken alignment. It's a very open airy the people are standing right in my living room talking type of sound.

EDIT: I decided to try swapping out my marantz back to the Harman Kardon....after 12 minutes I switched it back. Marantz's rock!! I just put a bid on a 2270 70wpc on ebay. Mine is a 2216 16wpc.
